About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Assembly Operator performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. This role requires availability for 2nd shift, with shifts determined by business needs. The position involves technical tasks such as performing machine and/or manual assembly, scope, soldering, and computer work. It also requires performing unique assembly processes and accurately reading and following procedures, routing, and other work instructions, taking ownership of process accuracy. Customer focus is essential, requiring meeting internal and external customer deadlines and building parts that meet drawing specifications, while complying with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE). Special projects may involve demonstrating initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule, understanding and using computer tools like SAP, accurately following work instructions, achieving special process certification where applicable, and demonstrating a proactive role in problem-solving and pursuing certifications in continuous improvement (ACE). Communication involves interfacing with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve production issues and effectively interacting with others. Participation is expected in cost reduction plans, waste minimization efforts, and audits. The role may require standing for long periods, wearing safety glasses and other required safety equipment, and effectively working in an environment with repetitive job responsibilities. A focus on safety and quality is extremely important. The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is necessary. This position is on 2nd Shift, and candidates must be willing and able to work this shift. Training is typically on 1st shift, and candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.

Requirements

Requires HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift.
Must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
