About The Position

The Assembly Operator assembles a wide variety of gear boxes using high-quality components and engineering designs. The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The operator performs the operations needed to assemble, test, and ship speed reducers while following quality procedures, safety rules, and established time standards.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively use basic hand tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written communication.
• Forklift certified.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand continuously and walk occasionally throughout the day, for up to ten hours.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Microsoft D365.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations necessary to assemble, test, and ship speed reducers.
• Comply with ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures.
• Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings.
• Place component parts into the storage system.
• Produce quality work and exercise judgment regarding quality acceptability.
• Perform at rates set by predetermined time standards.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Follow safety rules, use proper personal protective equipment, and report safety concerns.
