About The Position

Responsible for the operation of production equipment to produce quality products meeting customer specifications. An assembly operator will be able to perform the general assembly operations required for the jobs within the department. He consistently meets or exceeds production standards and/or expectations.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent training or work experience.
Knowledge of arithmetic.
Knowledge of blueprint reading.
Ability to use hand tools necessary to perform operations in the department.
Ability to package and label parts according to work instructions.
Ability to maintain a safe, clean, orderly and hazard-free work area.
Knowledge of all safety rules.
Ability to comply with Wayne Metals, LLC quality system requirements, defect/error prevention and waste reduction.
Ability to perform quality checks.
Ability to conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
Ability to conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations.
Ability to report any environmental concerns to Supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Plant manager.

Comply with Wayne Metals, LLC quality system requirements, defect/error prevention and waste reduction.
Perform quality checks.
Be trained and use SPC systems in place for production operations.
Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations.
Report any environmental concerns to Supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Plant manager.
