About The Position

Sunlight Batteries USA is growing, and we are looking for dependable team members who take pride in strong attendance, reliability, and quality work. As our plant introduces new automation and expands production, this entry‑level role offers opportunities to learn, develop, and grow into higher‑level positions. We are seeking individuals who work well with others, are eager to learn new skills, and maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. Sponsorship is not available.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must demonstrate dependability and strong attendance.
  • Ability to read, monitor, and operate complex testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Experience working with DC electrical charging systems.
  • Experience working with compressed air systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Ability to work an 8‑hour shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to arrive early or stay late based on production demands.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE when needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using small tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, or other material‑handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP software.
  • Experience handling or shipping hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble batteries by placing cells and installing components into steel containers according to blueprint specifications.
  • Operate general machine functions, including semi‑automatic production equipment.
  • Meet standard machine run rates while minimizing scrap and waste.
  • Perform accurate and timely quality checks following established procedures and machine checklists.
  • Identify nonconforming products, follow appropriate hold procedures, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to work processes, efficiency, and equipment operation.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, participate in plant safety programs, and maintain a safety‑first mindset.
