Under direct supervision, the Assembly Operator performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. This position requires availability for 2nd shift, with shifts determined by business needs. The role involves technical tasks such as machine and/or manual assembly, including scope, soldering, and computer work. Operators will perform unique assembly processes, accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions, and take ownership of process accuracy. A customer focus is essential, requiring meeting internal and external customer deadlines and building parts that meet drawing specifications, while complying with applicable quality systems (ACE). Special projects may involve demonstrating initiative to keep processes moving, using computer tools like SAP, achieving special process certification, and proactively participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement (ACE) certifications. Communication involves interfacing with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve production-related issues and interacting effectively with others. Participation is expected in cost reduction plans, waste minimization efforts, and audits. The role may require standing for long periods, wearing safety glasses and other required safety equipment, and working in an environment with repetitive job responsibilities. A strong focus on safety and quality is crucial. The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is necessary. This position is on 2nd Shift, and candidates must be willing and able to work this shift. Training is typically on 1st shift, and candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
