About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking Assembly Operators / Production Associates in McKinney, Texas for an approximately ten-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support manufacturing and production of advanced electronic and optical hardware in a cleanroom environment. Operators will perform mechanical assembly, soldering, bonding, precision fastening, inspection, and related production activities while working with circuit cards, machined housings, motors, mirrors, and optical assemblies.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of work experience.
Experience working with minimal supervision.
Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production process documentation.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform detailed assembly work.
Ability to use hand tools and production assembly equipment.
Ability to perform detailed hand manipulation involving wire sleeving, solder, and bonding materials.
Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for 8+ hours per day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a production team.
U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assembly of electronic, mechanical, and optical hardware.
Assemble components including machined housings, circuit cards, mirrors, motors, and optical assemblies.
Use hand tools, fasteners, and precision torque tools during assembly.
Perform soldering and bonding operations.
Work with wire sleeving and other detailed assembly materials.
Use chemicals and required personal protective equipment in a controlled manufacturing environment.
Inspect, repair, and support testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
Complete required production certifications.
Cross-train in multiple manufacturing areas.
Support daily production activities focused on cost, quality, and schedule performance.
Participate in continuous-improvement activities.
Maintain established cleanroom, safety, and production standards.
