About The Position

Volt is hiring an Assembly Operator I in Hauppauge, New York. The position involves setting up relay adjustment machines for various relays, visually inspecting and magnetizing relays, and adjusting relay contact forces, pickup/hold/dropout voltage, contact gaps, and contact bounce time. The operator is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. This is a full-time contract opportunity on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The offered pay range is $18–$20 per hour; the actual offer may depend on factors including education, work experience, work location, job duties, and certifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• One to two years of electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
