Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in St. Louis, MO has several openings for Assembly Mechanic-Quality Inspectors supporting the F15 Quality Team. Assembly Mechanic encompasses all the duties of the following job classifications: Inspector Assembly, Sub-Assembly Precision, Mechanic Aircraft Production, Mechanic Electrical and Radio, Sheet Metal Assembler and Riveter. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned. This is an hourly position that is governed by the IAM 837 Collective Bargaining agreement. New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. All new employees, rehires without seniority or transfers from outside of IAM 837 jurisdiction, shall be regarded as probationary during their first one hundred twenty (120) calendar days of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.
