Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
  • Demonstrated understanding of pressure regulation, flow control, calibration, and mechanical assembly processes
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical standards, engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation
  • Must have a working knowledge of CAD software and the ability to review engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word as well as manufacturing ERP and production management applications
  • Must be fluent in English and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess advanced mathematical skills, including measuring, calibration verification, pressure calculations, and use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions and exercise sound judgment in resolving operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for the Assembly Department, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Leads employees, coordinates production schedules, manages workflow and inventory, and promotes continuous improvement to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of quality products.
  • Ensures compliance with ISO-9001 and other regulatory requirements as well as all company safety policies, procedures.
  • Interviews, selects, onboards, trains, coaches, develops, evaluates, and administers corrective actions for assembly employees.
  • Schedules and tracks production using the company's production management software and keeps systems up to date.
  • Collaborates with Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other departments to support production requirements.
  • Communicates with Customer Service regarding delivery schedules, priority orders, and production status.
  • Monitors and improves key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support production, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Monitors inventory levels of components, packaging materials, and production supplies to prevent shortages.
  • Analyzes and repairs, or coordinates repair of, returned products as required.
  • Documents and maintains production processes, work instructions, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Partners with Quality Control to ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measurement tools and gauges.
  • Supports and assists production activities as needed, including process development, assembly, testing, packaging, and engraving operations.
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision and exercises sound, independent judgment in resolving operational issues.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
