About The Position

CompX National is hiring an Assembly Machine Operator on our 1st shift. This role is responsible for all functions of a multi-station assembly machine, including configuring equipment, loading, operating, and optimizing its performance. The operator will monitor the machine, oversee its maintenance, and perform quality checks to ensure it runs at full capacity. Troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs are also part of the duties. The position involves cross-training for various assembly jobs, testing and adjusting locks, and labeling and packaging completed locks. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and understanding Quality System requirements are essential.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
Must have experience troubleshooting and repairing basic production machinery issues and breakdowns
Mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Responsible for all functions of a multi-station assembly machine including configuring equipment, loading, operating, and optimizing its performance.
Monitor machine, oversee its maintenance, and perform quality checks at set intervals to ensure it runs at full capacity.
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed.
Cross train for various assembly jobs in assigned work area.
Test and adjust locks.
Label and package completed locks.
Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
Understand and practice Quality System requirements and documentation (i.e. applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process).
