About The Position
CompX National is hiring an Assembly Machine Operator for our 1st shift. This role involves cross-training to operate various assembly jobs, building, testing, and adjusting locks, and running a hydraulic press. The operator will also perform quality checks, label and pack completed locks, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Understanding and practicing Quality System requirements is essential. The position may require performing other jobs as needed by the Company.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Cross train to run various assembly jobs in assigned work area
- Build, test, and adjust locks
- Run a hydraulic press
- Perform quality checks at set intervals
- Label and pack completed locks
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized
- Understand and practice Quality System requirements and documentation (i.e. applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process)
- May be required to perform other jobs as needed by the Company
