About The Position

Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of departmental production and the suitability for sale of all items produced during his/her assigned hours. This role is responsible for the health & safety of all employees assigned during their shift, ensuring adherence to safe work policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean work area. The Assembly Lead ensures corporate policies are followed, takes disciplinary action as needed, and verifies that all orders are completed according to specifications. They are responsible for maintaining acceptable production rates, completing all required paperwork and data entry, and for the training and retraining of crew members and support personnel. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to train operators and troubleshoot problems on assigned machinery.
• Must be able to understand and follow production schedules.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with subordinates.
• Must have good leadership qualities and maintain the respect of his subordinates.
• Must have a reasonable knowledge of current Production Software.
• Must be able to read & use a non metric measuring tape.
• Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division).
• Needs a working understanding of both written & spoken English.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years press experience preferred
• High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not required
