About The Position

The Assembly Lead supports daily production operations by leading and coordinating a team of Assembly Operators while actively participating in hands-on assembly work. This role ensures safety, quality, and productivity standards are met by providing work direction, training support, and real-time problem-solving on the production floor.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience acting as a lead, trainer, or senior operator in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead by example by following all safety procedures and ensuring team compliance with required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety standards.
Perform assembly, inspection, and material handling duties in accordance with work instructions, quality standards, and production requirements.
Coordinate daily work assignments, monitor workflow, and support one-piece flow to meet production targets.
Verify components, labels, and materials against work orders; ensure accurate documentation and number recorded by the team.
Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to Assembly Operators, including new hires and cross-trained team members.
Operate and support the use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment including torque tools, drills, leak test equipment, and scales.
Perform daily preventive maintenance checks and basic equipment setup or calibration to approved reference samples.
Communicate production issues, safety concerns, equipment problems, and staffing needs to the Production Supervisor.
Assist with material staging, kitting, packaging, and movement of components and finished goods.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to standard work procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational objectives.
