About The Position

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company located in Beatrice, Nebraska, is a leading manufacturer of commercial mowers and equipment for landscape professionals. Exmark mowers are highly trusted by professionals, and all products are designed to enhance customer productivity while ensuring unmatched quality. This role is for the 2nd Shift, operating from 2pm to 10pm, with a pay rate of $20.22 base, plus a $2.00 lead differential and a $2.00 shift differential, totaling $24.22 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor's discretion).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.

Responsibilities

  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials to meet production goals.
  • Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations.
  • Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to subordinates, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Checks inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available and, if necessary, confers with the purchasing department.
  • Identifies and applies Lean methodologies to ensure improved production methods, tools and equipment maintenance and inventory, and quality of product.
  • Meets production quotas and maintains quality standards.
  • Responsible for training new employees.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Responsible for 3 Tier meetings with employees.
  • Follows written standard work and is able to develop standard work and maintain it.
  • Responsible for updating production boards, hourly.
  • Assists in driving the job rotation program.
  • May provide input on performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints and resolving problems for employees in the group.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
