About The Position

The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) team is looking to hire an Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Integration, & Testing (AIT) Specialist. Candidates must have experience in assembling and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will work with cryogenic systems, microwave electronics, and support hardware. Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, hardware integration, maintenance, and servicing cryogenic test setups; maintaining and organizing R&D lab infrastructure and facilities; composing technical documents, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering principles; and basic data analysis, problem solving, and communication skills. Working effectively within a team environment is critical. The primary responsibility of this role is cryogenic operations, which includes hardware integration and reconfiguration, documentation, and quantum processor integration. In addition, the scope of the role also includes assembly, integration, and testing of novel cryogenic RF/Microwave hardware. You will work across teams to reconfigure, assemble, integrate, test, and operate cryogenic systems weekly. You will coordinate with stakeholders on reconfiguration requirements, documentation, scheduling, and integration of new devices. In addition to cryogenic systems operations, you will work along side cryogenic hardware engineers supporting assembly, integration, and testing novel hardware projects. The ideal candidate should embrace a fast-paced startup environment—they must be able to learn quickly, operate independently, communicate clearly, and consistently demonstrate reliability. The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, on a mission to develop a fault-tolerant quantum computer.
