Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for an Assembly III position located in the Corinth, MS facility. This position will include engine/component assembly operations with moderate levels of complexity, scope of work and/or variation.

Requirements

Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
Required to read/write and interpret documents.
Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc)
2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any Caterpillar position: Background Screening, Drug & Alcohol Screening, Post-Offer Medical Questionnaire - clearance from Corporate Medical

Nice To Haves

Experience as an engine mechanic
Engine or engine component assembly experience

Responsibilities

Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused team environment to perform various assembly processes.
Knowledge of and adherence to contamination control guidelines.
Will require print reading skills and quality checks, as defined by standard work.
Will use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other tools as necessary.
Will be required to follow production schedules.
Will be required to utilize various computer systems including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint and Epix to reference work instructions, prints and perform data entry.
May require utilizing overhead cranes/hoists, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area.
Operator will be required to complete Caterpillar Basic Assembly Training.
All operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Candidate will work in an environment without close supervision.
Cross training in other positions within Salary Grade 4 may be required based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met. Those positions could include: Assembly 1, 2; Cleaning 1, 2, 3, 4; Disassembly 1, 2; Machining 1, 2, 3; Logistics 1, 2; and Quality 1, 2
