About The Position

Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This role requires the ability to work with hands for extended periods and proficiency with various tools. The position involves accurately counting items, understanding units of measure, and determining the condition of tools. Responsibilities include stocking materials, reading and understanding work orders, assembling and packaging per instructions, and safely operating a forklift to move materials. The role also requires proficiency in a wide range of hand tools, including electric, pneumatic, and measuring instruments. Specific assembly tasks may include wire stripping and cutting, thermoforming plastic injection molding, electronic assembly with testing, or kit building of fastener assemblies.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with hands for long periods of time
  • Proficiency in manual nonpowered hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as measuring tape.
  • Ability to accurately count items, understand unit of measures
  • Ability to determine condition of tools
  • Ability to properly stock material, parts, and sub-assemblies in their proper location protected from harm
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, sales orders, and drawings.
  • Ability to properly stack and secure parts to pallets or racks and move them safely with a forklift.
  • Ability to properly assemble and package per instruction.
  • Proficiency in hand tools (electric, pneumatic, wrenches, screwdrivers, electric tools, rivet guns, grinders, impact tools, air tools, plasma, angle squares, gauge meter, pressure gauges, etc.)
  • Hand tool competency, ability to complete 1 of the following: Wire Stripping and cutting, Thermo form plastic injections molding, electronic assembly w/testing, kit building of fastener assemblies via auto-bagger
  • Strong attendance and dependability
  • Consistently reporting to work on time
  • Completing assigned tasks accurately
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to pass forklift certification test and drive a forklift.

  • Assemble items as instructed by Supervisor.
