About The Position

Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This role requires the ability to work with hands for extended periods and proficiency with manual tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. The position involves stocking materials, reading work orders, assembling and packaging per instructions, and potentially operating a forklift. There are multiple levels of assembly roles (I, II, III, and Lead) with increasing responsibilities and skill requirements.

Requirements

Ability to work with hands for long periods of time.
Proficiency in manual nonpowered hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Ability to accurately count items and understand units of measure.
Ability to determine the condition of tools.
Ability to properly stock material, parts, and sub-assemblies.
Ability to read and understand work orders, sales orders, and drawings.
Ability to properly stack and secure parts to pallets or racks.
Ability to properly assemble and package per instruction.
Proficiency in hand tools (electric, pneumatic, wrenches, screwdrivers, electric tools, rivet guns, grinders, impact tools, air tools, plasma, angle squares, gauge meter, pressure gauges, etc.).
Hand tool competency.
Ability to complete at least one of the following: Wire Stripping and cutting, Thermo form plastic injections molding, electronic assembly w/testing, kit building of fastener assemblies via auto-bagger.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to pass forklift certification test and drive a forklift.
Strong attendance and dependability.
Consistently report to work on time and complete assigned tasks accurately.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Ability to complete 4 of the following: Wire Stripping and cutting, Thermo form plastic injections molding, electronic assembly w/testing, kit building of fastener assemblies via auto-bagger (for Assembly III).

Responsibilities

Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Assemble items as instructed by Supervisor.

Thermo form plastic injections molding.
Electronic assembly w/testing.
Kit building of fastener assemblies via auto-bagger.
Safely operate and become certified in forklift and scissor lifts (for higher levels).
Give direction and lead peers (for Lead position).
Communicate instructions and information effectively.
