About The Position

This position is essential for maintaining an optimum span of control for Team Members and to give adequate support, training and development to Team Members in multiple areas of manufacturing. The new 1-million sq. ft. factory in San Antonio, Texas, will be the company’s second largest plant, creating 1,500 new jobs over five years and scheduled to start production in 2026. JCB is the world’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, with 22 plants spanning four continents. As a family-owned business, JCB focuses on developing the latest technologies and incorporating them into their equipment to meet customer needs on the jobsite.

Requirements

• Must pass drug screens, background checks and pre-employments tests as applicable.
• High school diploma
• Two years of experience in assembly
• One year of experience in a supervisory/team leader role
• Forklift certification

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field
• Three years of assembly experience in a related industry
• Four years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in a production environment
• Perform labor operations such as assembling and sub-assembling equipment and parts that make up the backhoe loader using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, manipulators and assembly equipment
• Supporting and developing the team and team members
• Continuously measuring and improving safety, quality, efficiency and cost
• Conducting daily safety meetings and team meetings
• Filling in for absenteeism
• Providing training and feedback to fellow team members to help facilitate continuous improvement
• Other duties or tasks as assigned
