About The Position

The Assembly Expeditor Coordinator gathers, packs, and ships materials to customer locations globally. This role is crucial for ensuring that assembly operations have the necessary materials to meet production schedules and customer demands. The coordinator will manage inventory, expedite parts, support production, maintain organization, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
  • Understand and respond to a diverse population.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Operate Forklift.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of TMS.
  • Knowledge of INCO terms.
  • Strong Organization skills.
  • High school diploma.
  • Four to six years related experience.
  • 5 years oversized cargo movement (international and domestic).
  • 2 years Project cargo experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all necessary materials, parts, and components are available for assembly operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Planning & warehouse or procurement team to replenish supplies as needed.
  • Expedite missing or delayed parts to maintain production schedules.
  • Maintain all parts organized and separated for each project.
  • Verify parts that have been delivered are correctly issued systematically to each project.
  • Keep track of due dates on missing material.
  • Communicate with production leads/supervisors regarding material shortages, delays, or issues affecting workflow and discrepancies.
  • Assist in prioritizing and scheduling work to meet deadlines and customer demands.
  • Help to train employees & leads on utilizing LN.
  • Assist assembly departments to maintain separate and organized parts for each project.
  • Help with fall off each project.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow 5S basics.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts movement, order status, and completion times.
  • Update tracking systems (e.g., SPS or ERP software) to reflect current job and material statuses.
  • Help to correct discrepancies between drawing and BOM.
  • Serve as the liaison between assembly, warehouse, planning, inventory control, and other departments.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to ensure understanding of production priorities and changes.
  • Verify that all incoming materials meet quality standards before release to assembly.
  • Report any nonconforming materials or equipment issues promptly.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Identify potential production bottlenecks and take proactive steps to resolve them.
  • Work with team leads to troubleshoot and resolve material flow issues efficiently.
  • Support other departments on issuing correct materials into the system.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by TAS.
