Assembly Entry Level- 1st Shift
About The Position
Arrowhead Winch is seeking an Assembler Entry-Level to join their team in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. This position involves assembling pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line. The role requires following work instructions, performing basic mechanical functions, supporting plant safety policies, and maintaining good housekeeping practices. The Assembler will work effectively as a team member to achieve production goals and must be capable of recognizing and reporting irregularities or malfunctions. Initiative for process improvement and taking responsibility for tasks with minimal supervision are also key aspects of this role. Basic computer skills are needed for timecards and production information, and the ability to operate material handling equipment is required. Responsibilities include hanging and unhanging parts, performing air and oil tests, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED recipient
- Ability to learn and use pneumatic tools and impacts.
- Ability to learn, read and understand engineering build prints and build of material specifications.
- Willing and capable of progressing to Assembly II responsibilities within 2 years of service with Arrowhead Winch Inc.
- Capable of operating hand and pneumatic tools to ensure proper torque and assembly installations to meet engineering and production requirements.
- Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, and follow written instruction as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to express and notify lead and supervisors of issues, discrepancies, or disruptions in operations.
- Superb work organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to an evolving manufacturing environment, with a positive attitude.
- Must complete a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and procedures.
- Perform basic mechanical functions within an assembly process.
- Support plant safety policies and set a good example for others.
- Actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices through the 5S methodology.
- Work effectively as a team member amongst other assemblers to accomplish monthly production goals in a safe, respectful, and timely manner.
- Recognize irregularities, or malfunctions, with fit, form, function, or noticeable difference, to assembly parts and equipment, which require immediate notification to the Assembly Supervisor for further inspection and review.
- Take initiative to constantly participate and seek new and innovative ways to perform jobs or make recommendations that can initiate the changes in order to make the job better and more efficient.
- Take responsibility with the completion of tasks with little supervision.
- Accomplish job assignments on time, with a high standard of quality.
- Complete timecards and production information as necessary in a computerized production management system.
- Use material handling equipment (Raymond lifts, walkie stackers, low boys, etc.) to pull and position parts and materials necessary to perform your assigned tasks.
- Hang and unhang parts and pieces for assembly, pre-paint, and final paint production.
- Perform air test and oil test and functions.
