About The Position

This role is for a working cell leader who will assist the supervisor with daily work assignments and direct employees in specific work areas. In addition to building equipment, the lead will be responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with employee training and development.

Requirements

  • Ability to work from bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, prints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lead Tier Meetings and provide updates.
  • Ability to receive and sign for components and materials.
  • Ability to ensure scheduled orders are built per the production schedule.
  • Ability to direct and assist employees with daily work assignments.
  • Ability to ensure daily labor is entered and in-process check sheets are completed.
  • Knowledge of safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices, including the use of PPE.
  • Ability to assist with employee training and development.
  • Ability to complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Ability to identify and report problems concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
  • Ability to perform various operations throughout the factory.
  • Ability to maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ability to operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work from bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, prints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble sheet metal parts and components using various hand and power tools.
  • Lead morning Tier Meetings with direct reports in assigned areas.
  • Update Production Tier Boards and provide updates during daily Tier Meetings.
  • Receive and sign for purchase components and materials needed for specific work orders.
  • Ensure scheduled orders are built per the production schedule to meet ship dates.
  • Direct and assist flow lane employees with daily work assignments.
  • Ensure daily labor is entered and in-process check sheets are completed.
  • Responsible for safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist supervisor with skills and knowledge development of existing and new employees.
  • Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Notify supervisor or appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
  • Perform or assist with any operations throughout the factory to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and work groups for training, integration, communication, problem resolution, and staying updated on developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
