About The Position

Tube Assembly operators perform day-to-day production activities by using most current procedures to maintain production schedules. Essential Functions: Ability to wear required PPE to fulfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses. Use hand tools, spot welders, microscopes, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products using detailed documented procedures. Follow all policies, procedures, and drawings for accuracy and quality. Perform visual checks of products to assure quality. Identify non-conforming parts following documented procedures. Meet manufacturing output requirements while producing high quality products. Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment under minimal supervision to accomplish department goals. Must have strong problem solving, analytical skills, adaptability, and flexibility. Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, email) Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to read drawings/blueprints/work instructions. Must be able to clearly read and write in English.

  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Ability to follow written procedures and complete assigned work in a timely manner to keep production schedule while maintaining acceptable yields as determined by area supervisors and engineers.
  • Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to the job.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, email)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly read and write in English.

Responsibilities

  • Wear required PPE to fulfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses.
  • Use hand tools, spot welders, microscopes, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products using detailed documented procedures.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and drawings for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform visual checks of products to assure quality.
  • Identify non-conforming parts following documented procedures.
  • Meet manufacturing output requirements while producing high quality products.
  • Work alone and with others in a team environment under minimal supervision to accomplish department goals.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and follow written process procedures for intensifier image tube processing.
  • Monitor data from various meters and sensing devices that measure vacuum, temperature, and torque.
  • Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS).
  • Define complex equipment issues and quality levels while informing engineering of any process, component, etc. that deviate from normal processing.
