About The Position

Cadrex is seeking entry-level applicants to train and learn into Assembly, CNC operation, and machining positions. The role involves producing small to medium-sized components, either as finished products or as parts of larger assemblies. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in operating CNC machines, manual machines, and various hand tools, while ensuring product quality and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies.
  • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes.
  • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices.
  • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools.
  • Operates lift equipment as needed.
  • Uses precision measuring tools as required.
  • Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed.
  • Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required.
  • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspects.
  • Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets.
  • Proficiently set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials. Verify machine settings and program parameters for accuracy.
