About The Position

Westaff is hiring for Picker/Packers and Assemblers in Farmington, CT. This role involves performing general warehouse duties, operating industrial equipment, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining accurate inventory. Assemblers will be responsible for assembling products or components according to work instructions and quality standards, assisting with quality checks, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks
• Basic reading, writing, and computer skills
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
• Ability to follow safety rules and maintain a safe work environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating powered industrial equipment is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing, staging, and material handling
• Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks) if certified or trained
• Load, unload, and move materials safely throughout the facility
• Maintain accurate counts, labels, and documentation for inventory and production
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
• Assemble products or components according to work instructions and quality standards
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Assist with quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
