About The Position

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research. We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins. We are presently seeking an Assembler that will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certain job assignments require the ability to obtain and maintain an IPC/J-STD Certification within 90 days of employment and throughout your tenure.
  • Ability to obtain an ATF Possessor Permit.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and engage with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
  • Possesses intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

  • Six to twenty-four (6-24) months of industrial experience or similar training is preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics and assembly prints, as well as being thoroughly familiar with such assembly operations as wiring, welding, bonding and soldering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform any combination of tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
  • Receive detailed instructions on all work, under close supervision.
  • Position and align parts in fixtures or other holding devices.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, laser welding, operation of pneumatic machinery, pneumatic presses, etc.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.
  • Perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
  • Mount assembled components such as resistors, capacitors and integrated circuits.
  • Connect components, wires to printed circuit or route via soldering.
  • Adjust, trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Perform inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
  • Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.
  • Perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.
  • Utilize schematics and blueprint drawings to complete work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
