Requirements

  • Good mechanical background.
  • Electrical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build sub-assemblies or segments of a larger machine assembly.
  • Build medium to large sized machines or portions of larger machines using a variety of power and hand tools to design specifications.
  • Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions in the work area.
  • Recommend safety improvements within the department.
  • Practice 5-S in the work area.
  • Demonstrate mechanical/electrical skills.
  • Build sub-assemblies, small, less complicated machines or portions of larger machines using a variety of power and hand tools to fasten parts together at the proper torque values, install bushings and bearings to meet the design specifications.
  • May advance skills through on-the-job training and provide coverage as trained for Machine Builder III positions.
  • Consistently focus on accurate labor and job card reporting.
  • May be assigned to support with material handling duties.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required hygiene protocols during all machining and production activities.
  • Identify and promptly report any non-conforming materials, process deviations, or product defects to the Supervisor or Quality team.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to support a safe working environment.
