As a Pad-Mount Gear Assembler, you’ll play a key role in building high-quality electrical enclosures that support the reliability of the power grid.

Requirements

Ability to follow standard work, including specific written instructions and procedures.
Ability to perform basic subassemblies.
Proficiency with air-impact tools and other hand-held tools.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment a plus.

Responsibilities

Assemble pad-mount gear enclosures ranging in size from 42” x 37” x 70” to 86” x 94” x 76”.
Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt all types of components (ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs., with assistance), including bus assemblies, high-voltage switches, mounting and support plates, lock assemblies, doors, and roofs.
Perform mechanical inspections using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
Use material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, air-impact tools, gauges, and overhead cranes.
Work in a fast-paced assembly environment following standardized work instructions and meeting specified Takt Time requirements.
