About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks Assemblers who wish to work in a fast paced and ever changing high tech environment. If you have demonstrated successful experience in manual dexterity, the ability to multi-task, and possess process improvement skills, we invite you to consider joining our innovative team! We currently have availability on our second shift: Second shift: Monday -- Friday, 2:00pm -- 10:00pm As an Assembler, a typical day might include the following: Following detailed work instructions to perform basic production duties such as assembly, operating machinery, packaging products, building products and soldering. Obtaining a basic understanding of quality and productivity standards. Demonstrating a willingness to learn, retain information, and become proficient in basic electronic production processes. Learning and following all safety policies. Developing positive and effective working relationships with co-workers. Other duties as assigned. Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. The ability to learn and follow safety policies. Preferred Qualifications: Assembly experience. Word processing and spreadsheet skills. Physical Requirements Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours Vision correctable to 20/30 or better Differentiate color Reach Bend Kneel Twist Grip Pinch Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours Lake Zurich, IL - Located in Lake Zurich, Illinois, SEL’s Fault Indicator and Sensor Division, provides a positive, professional environment where you can make a difference in how the industry views SEL products and solutions.
