We hire Assemblers at a range of skill levels- from entry-level to advanced. Based on your experience, demonstrated abilities, and interview results, you may be considered for Assembler I, II, II, or IV, each with corresponding compensation. As a Full Time Assembler at Bench Dogs in Denver, PA, you will play a crucial role in our production line by performing repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce high-quality wood assemblies and sub-assemblies. Your responsibilities will include placing parts in specified relationships, utilizing bolts, clips, and screws, or fastening components together using hand tools and light-duty portable power tools. You may also tend to machines, such as edge banders, and adapt to various tasks on the assembly line as different models come into play. This role requires attention to detail and a willingness to embrace the challenges of a fast-paced manufacturing setting, making it an exciting opportunity for those who thrive on problem-solving and innovation.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude appropriate to their experience level.
  • Ability to follow instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to work on a production line or bench.

  • Ability to lift/carry materials as needed for the role.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performing repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce high-quality wood assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Placing parts in specified relationships, utilizing bolts, clips, and screws, or fastening components together using hand tools and light-duty portable power tools.
  • Tending to machines, such as edge banders.
  • Adapting to various tasks on the assembly line as different models come into play.
  • Assembling finished products from sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners.
  • Ensuring that all items are packed according to customer specification sheets.
  • Handling and stacking materials safely for secure transport.
  • Completing Bench Dogs' quality and production documentation.
  • Monitoring performance and quality on the assembly line.
  • Assisting and providing basic training to fellow operators.
  • Performing basic assembly tasks.
  • Performing more complex work such as quality checks, documentation, and troubleshooting.
