About The Position

Working with blueprints, assembly drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions, this role involves assembling, disassembling, repairing, and adjusting a variety of units, attachments, components, and/or accessories. The position reports directly to the Production Supervisor or their designate. Key Result Areas include Quality, Following Instructions, Safety & Housekeeping, Continuous Improvement suggestions, and Professional Development. Quality involves completing accurate work efficiently, performing assembly operations, and potentially operating material handling equipment. Following instructions requires the ability to read blueprints and work instructions, and potentially provide guidance to other employees. Safety & Housekeeping involves safe work practices, maintaining a clean work area, and wearing appropriate safety equipment. Continuous Improvement involves keeping an open mind to suggestions and bringing forward ideas. Professional Development includes demonstrating initiative, a positive attitude, and a desire for growth within the company.

Requirements

Technical Trades School in Welding
High school GED Required
1+ years of Assembly experience.
Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Minimal travel may be required
Ability and willingness to abide by set policies and/or safety programs established by GHM, our clients, and/or regulatory agencies.
Strong organization and time management skills.
High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assembles, disassembles, repairs, and adjusts a variety of units, attachments, components, and/or accessories.
Works on assembly operations, sub-assembly operations, attachments, and/or accessories.
Operates a variety of material handling equipment including jibs, overhead cranes, and their accessories.
Uses an assortment of measuring tools.
Consistently meets customer’s quality requirements and expectations.
Reads all blueprints and work instructions.
Provides instruction and guidance to employees assigned to assist.
Participates in the training of welders and other employees of the department of lesser classification.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, weld shop, or their designate.
Works with blueprints, assembly drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions.
Maintains a clean work area with no clutter.
Practices safety at all times while at work.
Follows safety policies and procedures and speaks up when others are non-compliant.
Wears all safety equipment for area of work.
Keeps an open mind to others continuous improvement suggestions.
Brings continuous improvement suggestions to the appropriate team member.
Demonstrates initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the job.
