About The Position

The Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing electronic components in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of previous assembly experience.
  • Previous experience with reading drawings and schematics in order to assemble products.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees.
  • Ability to enter data at a computer terminal.
  • Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an environment using Lean Manufacturing tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and carry out detailed work instructions for major component parts and sub-assemblies for assigned product lines.
  • Assemble components using various hand tool and testing equipment in a ESD protected environment.
  • Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions.
  • Final test product and package into final configuration.
  • Promote and support a safe working environment.
  • Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment or processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Adhere to safety practices, including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation, and Hour by Hour Board updates.
  • Meet quality assurance requirements and complete the associated documentation.
