About The Position

Whirlpool Corporation is a leading home appliance company. The Ottawa Manufacturing plant is seeking dedicated Assemblers to join their production team. This facility specializes in the precision manufacturing of premium built-in refrigerators and freezers. As an Assembler, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that every unit leaving the floor meets the company's quality standards. This position is dynamic and versatile, encompassing a wide range of production and specialized roles across multiple lines, including cell, conveyor, dryer, and commercial units.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
18 years old or older
1 year of consistent work history

Responsibilities

Assemble and install parts by hand or using tools/equipment.
Perform assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and final products using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment according to engineering blueprints.
Operate, load, and unload various production machines including mounting machines, light machines, and specialized equipment.
Execute electrical repair, salvage, and specialized wiring assembly to ensure product functionality and quality.
Conduct final packing, finishing, and quality checks on products.
Monitor equipment and finished products for quality control, troubleshoot minor issues, and perform relief/repair tasks as needed.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area, adhering to all safety protocols and production standards.
Continuously stand or walk (up to 12 hours per day).
Bend, squat, and lift up to 35lbs frequently.
Work on a moving/conveyor style production line or stabilized workstation.
Crating and packaging of materials, parts, products etc.
