About The Position

Ameri-Kart, a Myers Industries Company (NYSE: MYE), is one of the largest custom molding manufacturers in the United States. We are a full-service molder, focusing on recreational vehicles, marine, industrial, heavy truck and material handling markets. We manufacture a wide range of molded plastic products and complete product assembly to meet your specific design requirements. The responsibility of the Trim/ Assembly is to produce various products to efficiency and quality standards.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Other duties as assigned.
• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred
• Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet.
• Frequently positions self to maneuver around the parts, materials, and molds.
• Must be able to operate the hand and tools and write legible.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
• Pull and review Work Instructions prior to starting a job.
• Bundles product properly after trimming and move to required staging location.
• Complete all assigned projects by the due date.
• Review production priorities.
• Must meet or exceed all training requirements including those related to quality standards and attend scheduled shift meetings or other meetings required.
• Meets or exceeds production targets.
• Produces trimmed products using various methods designated for the job. These methods include, but not limited to: Use of hand and power tools.
• Inspects product for conformance to quality standards.
