About The Position

Sanlo is seeking an Assembly Operator for their 2nd shift. This role involves measuring and cutting cable, attaching components, and operating various equipment such as crimping, metal-forming die-cast, and hydroforming equipment. The operator will also be responsible for changing machine dies, performing quality inspections, operating pull-test equipment, completing first-piece inspections, recording production and quality data, and packaging finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and follow written and visual work instructions.
  • Ability to use and read calipers, micrometers, and tape measures in English and metric measurements.
  • Ability to use go/no-go gauges.
  • Understanding of decimal places when working with numbers.
  • Ability to operate a scale to complete weight counts.
  • Ability to operate hand- or foot-pedal-controlled equipment.
  • Ability to operate automated equipment using a PC controller.
  • Ability to use common hand tools, including wrenches, an Exacto knife, and a hammer.
  • Ability to hold components steady while inserting them into operating equipment.
  • Ability to count up to 100.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut cable to required lengths.
  • Attach assembly components to cable.
  • Load and operate crimping equipment to secure assembly components.
  • Load and operate metal-forming die-cast equipment.
  • Load and operate hydroforming equipment.
  • Change machine dies at the start of new production runs.
  • Complete visual quality inspections on work-in-progress and finished products.
  • Measure and ensure dimensions of work-in-progress and finished products.
  • Operate pull-test equipment.
  • Complete first-piece inspections.
  • Record completion of production and quality checks on production logs.
  • Package completed work-in-progress and finished products.
