Assembler - Night Shift
About The Position
Rugby Manufacturing is seeking a full-time assembler for the night shift. The schedule is 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with shortened overtime hours on Friday. Starting wage is $16.90 to $23.80 depending on experience, plus a $1.00 night-shift differential. Rugby manufactures truck bodies, hoists, related truck equipment, and accessories. The role involves removing debris and spatter from truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts; maintaining a clean work environment; meeting the daily job or work schedule; and performing other assigned duties. The assembler must work safely, meet production and quality expectations, and be able to perform physically demanding work.
Requirements
- Ability to manually move products and materials weighing up to 50 pounds through regular heavy physical exertion, including climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds when using overhead hoists.
- Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time; most work is performed on concrete, ladders, and dump bodies.
- Ability to read and perform basic computer data entry.
- Ability to work in a team environment to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to rotate jobs regularly as needed.
- Ability to meet production efficiency and quality standards and work overtime as required.
- Ability to work safely and follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE.
- Prompt and reliable attendance.
Responsibilities

- Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, complete maintenance requests, and communicate hazards to coworkers and management.
- Attend and participate in required company meetings.
