About The Position

Assembles a variety of merchandise for display and or sale to customers using common hand tools. Assembles a variety of items such as bicycles, strollers, furniture, grills, lawn garden equipment etc. using common hand tools following manufacturer's instructions. Items are assembled both for display and for customers after purchase. Inspects finished products prior to delivery to ensure proper working order and advises customers on proper use and maintenance of equipment. Installs optional equipment purchased by customers. Performs selling duties such as assisting customers in the selection of merchandise and bicycles and advises on optional equipment available for purchase. Performs minor repairs such as clean equipment adjust brakes gears refinish minor scratches replacing worn or broken parts etc. Maintains work area in a safe orderly manner. May assist in backroom and stocking receiving functions as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Twelve months experience assembling items such as bicycles strollers furniture grills lawn garden equipment etc.
• Stands walks bends and lifts light to medium weight bulky objects.
• May use a handcart to move stock.
• Assists customers in loading merchandise into vehicles.
• May be required to supply the tools necessary to perform the duties assigned.
