About The Position

The Assembler will be responsible for assembling valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines. This role involves testing valves, ensuring strict technical specification and customer requirement compliance, and managing parts for various orders. The position also includes maintaining a clean work environment, documenting orders, and stocking inbound freight. The Assembler will be expected to accurately input inventory into the system and perform daily replenishment of parts. Housekeeping and safety checks are also part of the daily duties. This role may involve other work-related functions as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months experience as in assembly or relevant work experience
  • Must be able to work night shift
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality processes
  • Must be able to use pneumatic tools and hand tools
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read blueprints, part numbers on orders and interpret instructions
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
  • Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
  • Works well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Prefer experience with actuators and automated valves

Responsibilities

  • Assemble valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 011
  • Test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines, VQP 010
  • Ensure strict technical specification and application/customer requirement compliance during production
  • Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, inventory orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Pull sales order jobs, as well as I-jobs for vendor
  • Confirm that the materials pulled completely match sales order document station provided by shop file, including parts identification and quantity of parts to be shipped
  • Have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order for accuracy before shipment goes to Shop or Shipping Clerk
  • Write sales order number, job number on parts if they are going out to vendor
  • Write sales order on pallet or bin if order is going to Production
  • Clock out order documentation via barcode after order is pulled
  • Call Shipping Department or Low or High-Pressure shop when order is pulled
  • Write staging location on file and give file to department manager if order is going to Shop
  • Stock inbound freight and replenish Warehouse locations
  • Clock inventory into system through M2M via barcode after locating and stocking parts
  • Ensure quantity input in the system is 100% correct
  • Replenish pulling location from overstock locations on a daily basis as needed
  • Perform housekeeping and safety check of equipment
  • Clean department on a daily basis and back storage yard as needed
  • May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor
