About The Position

As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers, they offer top-grade equipment for demanding requirements in polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The Mechanical Assembly Technician provides the highest quality work ethic and character for assembling the Maag family of equipment, including dryers of all sizes and TWS systems, with an emphasis on meeting customer delivery dates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education

  • Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks

  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Will be required to have forklift training and regularly use lifts and ladders to assemble on structures off of the ground five feet or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools and power tools by referencing 2D assembly drawings.
  • Balance rotors on all size dryers using overhead cranes and balancing equipment.
  • Build and mount dryer component parts such as agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves using hand tools and air tools while referencing 2D assembly drawings.
  • Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings using soap water and air.
  • Engrave equipment name plates using engraver, laser marker, or dot peen marker.
  • Fill out check sheets while assembling the equipment to ensure the quality of the product meets expectations.
  • Put together piping assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
  • Consider all interests of quality, accident prevention, occupational safety, and environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and actively support the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material, and environment.
  • Perform tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs.
