About The Position

Our client, a leading advanced manufacturing company specializing in innovative materials and production technologies, is seeking an experienced Assembler. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension, located in Rock Hill, SC. The role involves performing manual assembly of products, prototypes, and components, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), completing daily production logs, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The Assembler will work closely with peers, managers, and team members to ensure smooth line activities and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• At least one year of electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Manual Dexterity: Required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to handle moderate physical activity, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, assembly drawings, and to use various hand tools.
• Basic Computer Skills: Required for operating production equipment and maintaining logs.
• Good organizational skills are necessary for managing materials and work areas.
• Attention to Detail: Crucial for quality assurance and accurate assembly.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a lean team environment.

Nice To Haves

• An Associate's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual assembly of products, prototypes, and components following verbal and written instructions, engineering documents, and visual aids.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with minimal supervision.
• Complete daily production logs and quality forms.
• Identify and suggest opportunities for improving production processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and other team members regarding line activities and issues.
• Clean and maintain the work area and surrounding workspace.
