Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for an Assembler 1. The Assembler is responsible for assembly of electronic components. The Assembler will have an opportunity to enhance their manufacturing skills by working in multiple areas in the Assembly Department. The Assembler will handle, test, and inspect small electrical components. Job Location: Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position for first shift

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform work under a microscope and able to identify defects.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Strong hand eye coordination required.
  • Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
  • Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience using microscopes and tweezers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret the instructions on the traveler and customer specifications to process the order.
  • Handle and test small electrical components.
  • Using a microscope and tweezers, visually inspect parts per the traveler for the correct dimensional and visual criteria.
  • Tasks may vary requiring flexibility and versatility, such as cover assembly, electrical tests, visual inspection, packaging, and other miscellaneous functions.
  • Computer skills are required to record work performed.
