About The Position

Wilson Trailer Company is offering flexible schedule positions for Assemblers at their manufacturing plant in Moberly, Missouri. These part-time roles involve building hopper bottom and flatbed semi-truck trailers. The schedule is flexible, typically Monday through Thursday, with options for morning or afternoon shifts, and other schedules may be available upon request. There is an opportunity to transition to full-time employment with benefits if desired.

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Average computer skills; locate prints and enlarge them to clarify orders occasionally.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate clearly and concisely using the English Language.
  • Must have the ability to meet physical demands.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective equipment (PPE) (Protective eyewear, hearing protection, hardhat with shield, safety-toe boots, protective glove-leather or otherwise)
  • Functional vision, normal or corrected.
  • Functional hearing and speech.
  • Ability to report to work punctually at the beginning of their shift.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Ability to use keyboard and use of mouse or alternative input device(s).
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a safety inspection of hoist chains, and all tools used to ensure safety.
  • Use a huck gun, drill, and other handheld tools.
  • Read and understand production and print orders.
  • Read and understand a tape measure.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Drill and fasten components of the trailer together.
  • Move components with carts, hoist, motorized trollies or carrying them to the station or stall they are assigned that day.
  • Retrieve and install fasteners using bobtail, daisy, magna-lock, bom, or huck hand held fastening guns to secure fasteners in place.
  • Use or learn to use basic hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, punch, wire cutters, pliers, cordless drills, and saws.
  • Use or learn to use a caulk gun.
