About The Position

Working as a member of a team within the assembly area, this position will assist in the attainment of all manufacturing production requirements by learning and following all process steps and requirements necessary to build and produce orders.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
• Demonstrates ability to use the handheld scanners accurately.
• Demonstrates blueprint reading skills.
• Demonstrates inventory accuracy.
• Demonstrates ability to print all paperwork necessary for the department.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize handheld tools, both manual and powered.
• Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook.
• Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines.
• Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Three to six months related experience in a manufacturing department.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery.
• Assemble finished product using parts and fasteners.
• Piece together different parts of manufactured products.
• Read detailed blueprints to learn how to assemble products.
• Use hand tools or machines to complete projects.
• Responsible for quality control.
• Ability to work in teams and cross train to various aspects of department.
• Other duties as assigned.
