About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembler in Rainsville, AL 35986. As an Assembler, you will adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE. You will bend, shape, cut, and solder wires/lugs, attach wires using lugs/crimps, and perform sanding of wires as part of the preparation process. You will also pull lead wires and sleeving, use pneumatic/hydraulic crimping tools, and utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds. Additionally, you will participate in physical inventory activities, meet established efficiency and productivity standards, and maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards. Additional or updated duties may be assigned as business demands change.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, instructions, and examples.
• Good time management skills with the ability to organize work.
• Manually handling up to 50 pounds occasionally by lift/push/pull.
• Standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to solder.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Forklift operation experience preferred.
