Assembler
About The Position
Perform assembly operations to assign the construction of components accurately, thoroughly and to approved specifications. Ensure incoming parts and materials are identified and delivered to appropriate locations. Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders. Assist department personnel as needed and follow instructions as provided by supervisor or skilled personnel. Provide second-person support in handling large parts. Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications. Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area. Adhere to all company safety regulations and those specific to assigned work area. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 6 months of working experience is required
- Ability to operate common hand tools (drill, screwdriver, hammer, etc.) is required
- Knowledge of various hardware (screws, washers, bolts, rivets, etc.) is required
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift is required
- Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is required
- Ability to lift 40 pounds is required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Familiarity with shop equipment such as table, panel and chop saws and kick and drill presses are preferred
