Are you a skilled Assembler with a passion for precision and innovation. At Ingersoll Rand, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Sheet Metal Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Sheet Metal Assembler will work with others to fabricate and assemble sheet metal enclosure panels from CAD drawings using hand and power tools. This position is responsible for accurately building sound enclosure components to specification, maintaining quality standards, and supporting safe and efficient production in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, sheet metal, or fabrication experience or Technical school expereince
  • Basic math and tape measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with rivets, fasteners, hinges, latches, insulation, and panel hardware.
  • Ability to use tape measures, squares, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Forklift or material handling experience is a plus, if applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a welding skills test.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and written instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift or material handling experience is a plus, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal panels and enclosure components according to specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Install hardware, insulation, gasketing, fasteners, and other enclosure components as required.
  • Verify dimensions, alignment, fit, and finish of assembled parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with team members to complete assemblies on schedule and meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for defects and report quality issues to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Move materials, parts, and finished assemblies as needed within the production area.
  • Assist with other fabrication, assembly, and general production tasks as assigned.
