About The Position
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for the safety, quality, and operation of injection molding machine(s). The work model for the role is onsite and contributes to the success of the ABB ELIP Manufacturing facility in Portland, TN.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of one month or less similar or related work experience
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request parts or supplies verbally or in writing.
Responsibilities
- Visual quality inspections of the product produced
- Placement of product in box with appropriate count in each box
- Labeling of product and boxes
- Tape boxes
- Lift and carry boxes up to 40 lbs.
- Monitor equipment operation
- Assist in training new employees
- Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion - 5S
- Follow standardized work instructions
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizan efforts
- Cover other positions following appropriate training as needed.
