The Assembler role is within Stanley Access Technologies, a leader in automatic doors. This position is responsible for assembling components, sub-assemblies, and final products, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer expectations. The role requires the use of various tools and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
6 months to 1 year of assembly experience.
Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
1+ years of assembly experience.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final products by following blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
Operate hand tools, power tools (e.g. drills, presses, soldering equipment, etc.), and machinery with proper setup and use.
Troubleshoot basic assembly issues, such as misaligned parts or equipment malfunctions.
Inspect products for defects and conduct quality checks to ensure the products meet quality standards using measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
Document production metrics, performance, and any issues encountered during assembly.
Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and report potential hazards.
Perform basic equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.
Be flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.
Other duties as assigned.
