About The Position

The Assembler reads shop drawings and assembles furniture and public-space materials. The role requires accurate and efficient assembly, fitting components and coverings, correcting minor defects, and producing quality cabinets or assemblies.

Requirements

• Competence in reading shop drawings rapidly and accurately.
• Familiarity with assembling different types of furniture and public-space materials.
• Skill in fitting drawers, doors, moldings, and other components.
• Competence applying and fitting coverings.
• Ability to adjust minor defects and repair dents and minor scratches.
• Familiarity and skill in using all required tools.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings rapidly and accurately.
• Assemble all types of furniture and public-space materials.
• Fit drawers, doors, moldings, and other components.
• Apply and fit the required coverings to cases or other materials.
• Adjust minor defects when fitting parts and remove dents or repair minor scratches.
• Install and repair hardware as necessary.
• Produce quality assemblies and cabinets.
• Assemble parts rapidly and accurately without causing damage.
• Use the tools required for the work.
