Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking an Assembler to work 1st shift (5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday - Friday) in our state-of-the-art facility. Assemblers at Flexco can expect a starting hourly wage between $20.00 - $25.00/hour or more, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of assembly experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of reports, blueprints, schematics and other diagrams
  • Lift floor to shoulder 20 lbs.
  • Push/Pull a maximum of 100 pounds for one hundred feet
  • Reach less than 18 inches.
  • Ability to stand for a full shift
  • Manage your own workload
  • Obtain a WAVE license
  • Use common tools found in a manufacturing setting, such as; micrometers, calipers, bar code printers and other power tools

Responsibilities

  • Pull bills of material, procedures, prints, and parts as needed for production orders and pick parts as needed for jobs.
  • Set up, assemble, and inspect a variety of LD (light duty) assemblies efficiently and according to job specifications, work instructions and quality standards. This includes customer orders, stock items and sub-assembly. Assemblies range from 30-80 pieces.
  • Count and pack products, place inserts and product literature in carton, tape, apply labels, and place carton on skid.
  • Set up and use equipment and fixtures as required, along with loading and running press machines and lift equipment.
  • Rivet and press parts in place, hand grind, sand, and rework parts as necessary to meet job specifications and for special orders.
  • Process Work Orders through the ERP System.
  • Quote and repair tools returned from the field as assigned (RPQ’s).
  • Perform general and preventive machine maintenance of department equipment; replace and reset tooling when necessary.
  • Track and report on performance measurements as assigned.
  • Update parts inventory files and perform cycle count duties as prescribed.
  • Maintain good WPO/5S practices as assigned.
  • Notify the Maintenance or Quality departments of unusual equipment and material problems.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required.
